THE FUND
TAMID's Investment Fund gives members hands-on exposure to Israeli public equities before they ever set foot on Wall Street. Fund members conduct original equity research, pitch investment ideas to the group, and collectively manage a live portfolio of Israeli stocks. It offers a practical introduction to investing, research, and portfolio management in a collaborative setting.
HOW IT WORKS
The Fund process

1
Stock selection
Members identify Israeli equities worth researching, drawing on sector knowledge, macro trends, and company news
2
Due diligence
Deep dive into financials, competitive positioning, management, and risk factors, the same process used by real equity analysts
3
Stock pitch
Present a buy, hold, or sell recommendation to the full fund, including a price target and investment thesis
4
Portfolio vote
The group deliberates and votes on whether to add the stock to the live portfolio, every voice counts
WHAT WE WORK ON
Areas of focus

EQUITY RESEARCH
Original bottom-up research on Israeli public companies, covering financials, business model, competitive moat, and growth outlook.

DUE DILIGENCE
Thorough evaluation of a company's fundamentals before a pitch, including management quality, risk factors, balance sheet health, and industry dynamics.

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
Collectively managing a live portfolio, tracking positions, monitoring performance, and deciding when to buy, hold, or sell.

STOCK PITCHING
Presenting a formal buy or sell recommendation to the full fund, with a price target, investment thesis, and Q&A from peers.

MACRO & SECTOR ANALYSIS
Understanding the Israeli economy, key sectors (tech, defense, biotech), and how macro trends shape the investment landscape.

FINANCIAL MODELING
Building DCF models, comps tables, and scenario analyses to support investment recommendations and price target derivation.
NATIONAL COMPETITION
TAMID's Nationwide Trading Competition
Each year, TAMID chapters from across the country compete in a national trading competition — submitting their best stock pitches to be judged against other chapters. It's one of the few undergraduate competitions focused specifically on Israeli equities, and a genuine resume differentiator.

"The Fund track gave me the financial modeling skills and investment vocabulary I needed to walk into my first banking interview with confidence. I had a real pitch to discuss, experience analyzing a live portfolio, and examples I could actually speak to"
